EdVentures is a grant program that supports hands-on, creative educational experiences for students in North San Diego County schools with an emphasis on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math).
In response to school closures due to COVID-19, grants in 2020 were directed to support for distance learning. The following organized received grants:
During the 2019-2020 academic year, grants were made in support of Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) at Carlsbad Unified and San Dieguito Union High School Districts. High School and Middle School teachers in the districts submitted proposals for hands-on, creative classroom projects. Over $45,000 was awarded to 38 classrooms.
Funding is provided for prevention or early intervention mental health services or mental health counseling for youth ages 21 and under in North Coastal San Diego County. Grants range from $2,500-6,000. Recent grant recipients from the past three years include:
